国际血浆蛋白协会（PPTA）祝贺首届中国血液安全大会成功举行

    由于国外新冠疫情形势严峻，国际血浆蛋白协会无法应邀现场参与首届中国血液安全大会，其主席和首席执行官Amy Effantis于2020年9月向大会发来贺词。

We wish that we could be joining you in-person for the first china blood safety symposium. With the global epidemic prevents us from traveling, we also wish to thank you for your commitment to the safe collection of plasma in these troubled times.

由于新冠疫情，我们无法亲自来参加首届中国血液安全大会，我们非常感谢在这个困难的时期你们对血液安全的坚守。

In addition to my role as CEO at PPTA, I am also a mother and I’ve tried to raise my children to honor an expression that my parents valued, that goes ‘run to the fire.’ This means we don’t avoid difficult situations.

除了PPTA 首席执行官的身份外，我还是一个母亲。我一直教育我的孩子们去奉行我的父母特别尊崇的一个理念，那就是“奔赴火海”，意思是说我们不会去逃避困难。

And Dr.Liu Zhong is someone who exemplifies ‘running to the fire.’

刘忠教授就是这样一位英勇无畏的人。

His work in Wuhan beginning in late January has been so valuable to the world.

他一月末就去到武汉，开展了对全世界都极具价值的工作。

He produced one of the first papers showing solid data that’s benefited worldwide patients suffering with Covid-19.

他发表了第一批显示出可靠数据的文章，这些数据使全世界的新冠患者受益。

I thank him and congratulate him for his work. I also wish all of you a wonderful meeting and hope that we can be together for future meetings. Thank you.
